I'm an EU student from the shittier parts of EU and I've just completed my first year of uni in Glasgow. My family can't exactly afford to keep me here without any help and, before going to Glasgow, I wasn't even able to find a job or a place to rent in advance. I had to go for student accommodation, which was quite expensive and I wouldn't have been able to make it this far without unexpected financial help from my father (abusive in the past, always saw me as property and he's stuck in his own twisted, delusional perception about the world). The problem is that this help might be cut short pretty soon. According to other relatives he seems pretty desperate to take me back to my homecountry, even though I have very good results here, lots of extracurricular activity, my life is better than I thought it would ever be and there are almost no opportunities for me to study what I'm studying now or get a job in this industry back home. I've also been forbidden by him to work during my studies, but I did some volunteering.

At low tide the beach joins up with Porthminster beach to form about a mile of sand. You can even walk out past the end of the pier and around the corner to the elusive Bamaluz beach on some low tides.
