And now has been sent the bill for the third time. A has tried to contact the Manager through email but it is like it doesn't exist anymore. Is there anything that A can do to protect herself from getting another bill? By the way, A is not a resident of Queensland, she lives in Victoria. Hi long time reader, first time poster here. This isn't my story, it is to do with my Aunt (be known as A) and Mum (be known as M) who stayed in a hotel in Noosa, Queensland, Australia. This happened in May this year, the second last day they were staying there. What happened was, it was an accident with the lift, when as M and A were stepping out A tripped over the uneven floor because there was a gap between the lift and the floor. A hit her head on the ground with blood coming out everywhere. And she was quite distressed about it, having to her bag to try to stop the blood. M ran for help and found a worker who came to help but couldn't cause she (worker) was distressed about what happened. Then the senior to the worker came and rung for the ambulance. A was sent to emergency and she got patched up. Manager came by the next day to apologise for what happened and offered free accommodation for a few nights plus paying for the ambulance bill. Since this happened, A has had the ambulance bill sent to her twice and she has heard nothing from the hotel about it.
