This all seemed pretty amazing to me. Pretty much the only thing my wife and I would have to pay for is the plane ticket down there, which makes it a very affordable vacation. So I brought it up to my wife. I laid everything out, said we would be their guests, we'd only need to pay for airfare and I guess a few groceries/whatever we wanted to do by ourselves while we're down there, and it would all come out to be very affordable and a great trip. My wife said no. When I asked her why, she said she didn't want to be the guest of my old girlfriend. That it would be weird and uncomfortable for everyone involved. I explained that we would have our own little cottage, and wouldn't even really need to interact with them if we didn't want to.
